Karen Cianflone, Attentively Yours owner and sole practitioner, brings her diverse experience, advanced training and natural talents to all of the services she offers. Her facial clients experience the calming touch that characterizes her ayurvedic treatments. Her permanent makeup clients benefit from the clinical skill and thorough knowledge of facial tissue that is the foundation of her facialist licensure. And so on with any service you might choose to receive at Karen's capable hands.

Both her permanent makeup and special event makeup clients benefit from her sharp eye for color and design. She has designed literally hundreds of eyebrows and takes delight in lifting a client’s facial countenance with a well-designed brow line.

Karen comes to her current practice from years in medical-related and nurturing disciplines including seven years spent as chair-side dental assistant to Dr. Eric Anderson. Her responsibilities in that office for OSHA compliance and staff training in the areas of disinfection and sterilization assure her clients a clinical level of cleanliness rarely found in similar practices. Karen continues her affiliation with medical practitioners in her private practice. She held the position of paramedical esthetican in the office of board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Amy Arnold Van Gent where she was responsible for patient education, treatment plans for pre- and post-operative care, chemical resurfacing, camouflage makeup, lymphatic drainage, and microdermabrasion. Today, many of her permanent makeup referrals come from the offices of board certified plastic surgeons in the local area.

Beyond her state-required training for licensure, Karen stays on top of the very latest in skin care developments, going far beyond the state’s requirements for ongoing education. Karen gives freely of her knowledge to her clients, who benefit not only from her treatment but from the practical education they receive during their appointment time.

Once Karen achieved her facial specialist license, her interests widened to include ayurvedic therapies, aromatherapy, lymphatic draining, and lyposage, which she employs in her popular stress-relief therapies. Her creative side finds expression in her permanent makeup services. Karen achieved certification as a permanent makeup artist under the auspices of the American Academy of Micropigmentation and is also now a member of the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals. Her continuing quest to advance her technique led her in March, 2008, to spend three days in one-on-one training with Pati Pavlik, highly regarded in the industry as the "Mother of Permanent Makeup." Karen is continuing her permanent cosmetic training with the goal of board certification.
